The Spoonleaved Sundew, Drosera spatulata, is a small, perennial, flat, rosette-forming carnivorous plant with red traps and lots of tentacles. The longest tentacles are at the tips of the leaves and quickly move towards trapped prey in as short as 10 seconds. The color of the leaves is frequently scarlet red, but it can vary from orangey-green to maroon. The Spatulata Sundew is a pretty little tropical and has traps year-round. It tolerates a wide range of growing conditions, but prefers open, sunny, boggy conditions in peaty soils. The blossoms are pink on multi-flowered scapes. Typically there are several scapes at a time, and they are long lasting. It can flower at different times of the year, but more profusely in the summer months. The Spoonleaf Sundew generously produces seeds, that quickly sprout in neighboring pots, filling them within nice companions for your intended plant. It can become a wonderful "weed" in your carnivorous plant collection. Seeds can be sown immediately or stored in cool, dry conditions for a year or more. Stressed plants frequently regenerate from the rootstock. It is a is an excellent terrarium plant, and a reliable performer for your collection. It is easy to grow and is a great beginner's plant. D. spatulata was first scientifically documented in 1792. This selection comes from seeds and will show some genetic variation.

Seems ok

The plant came well packaged and still damp.
I repotted it and it seems to be bouncing back well and looks like it will flower soon.
The price was manageable.
Seems like it will work out well.

Didn't last long

Have 2 other Drosera Spatulata from 2 other sellers, those have been fantastic planted in the same medium, this one started slowly dying after about 5 days and done everything I can to try and save this one, but not happening. Definitely wouldn't buy again.
