Sarracenia x Frog Mouth is a charming cultivar with tall, wide shouldered, green traps that have a nice red tint. The dark green hoods arching over the very wide opening with its predominant red lip. Pitchers are tall, upright and medium green with red venation. They are robust growers, and form large full colonies. It prefers open, sunny, boggy conditions, and looks great in the Fall. The flowers are red and fragrant. They bloom early in the Spring before new traps are fully emerged. This is an unusual pitcher plant for the bog garden or collection. This cultivar is likely to be S.flava x oreophila. Its name describes its green color and wide mouth. This is an unofficial cultivar.
