Sarracenia x rehderi or Rehder's Pitcher Plant is a naturally occurring beautiful red hybrid of S. rubra x minor. It resembles a red S. minor, complete with areoles (windows). It is a vigorous grower, and forms large full colonies. S. x rehderi prefers open, sunny, boggy conditions, and holds its color into the frost. The flower petals are unique with orange centers trimmed in yellow. They bloom early in the Spring before new traps are fully emerged. This is an outstanding accent plant for the bog garden, and is very showy in large numbers.

Plants are shipped bare-root, wrapped in damp sphagnum moss. In it's dormant season, it will be shipped as a dormant rhizome with trimmed off pitchers. Photographs are representative of the hybrid, and not the specific plant shipped.

Plant Type: Perennial, temperate.
Soil: Upper Bog Mix or General CP Mix.
Light: Bright indoors, full sun to partial sun outdoors.
Use: Grows well in the bog garden, greenhouse and indoors. Excellent accent plant.
