It certainly is curious that there are plants that "eat" insects. How weird! How good are carnivorous plants at catching insects? Are some carnivorous plants better at it than others? In this laboratory investigation students explore the trapping efficiency of Sundews vs Pitcher Plants. This is a ready-to-use activity to find out. 

Purpose: to determine the capture rate of sundews versus pitcher plants.
Materials: 2 or more potted sundews and pitcher plants, clear cup covers, wingless fruit flies.
