Nepenthes jacquelineae is know for its extremely wide flanged peristome with a "toilet bowl" look. Traps are squat, robust and color up to a rich red in full sun. N. jacquelineae is a vigorous grower and produces numerous pitchers. Traps are filled with very thick digestive fluid, which makes it difficult for prey to escape, especially large prey. It is quite good at catching large insects, such as: stink bugs, wasps and yellow jackets. It does well in a window and is a great house plant, that can be grown outdoors in the warm weather with a minimal transition period. It is a good as a houseplant or in the greenhouse.
Plants are potted, wrapped in damp sphagnum moss. Photographs are representative of species, and not the specific plant shipped. Plants are young and small with juvenile traps.
