Sarracenia x Green Monster is a rare, albino occurring hybrid, S. leucophylla x minor with tall, all green pitchers accented with rows of white areole (windows). It is stunning. The hoods are broad and undulating with ruffled margins. It is a vigorous grower and forms large full colonies. As with other S. leucophylla hybrids, it has a nice show of Spring pitchers, but a great show of large, vigorous and stout Fall pitchers. S. x Green Monster prefers open, sunny, boggy conditions, and holds its color into the frost. Albino or anthocyanin-free plants are unusual for a pitcher plants. The flowers are fragrant, and bloom mid-season. This is an excellent accent plant for the bog garden, and is very showy in large numbers.

Plants are shipped bare-root, wrapped in damp sphagnum moss. In it's dormant season, it will be shipped as a dormant rhizome with trimmed off pitchers. Photographs are representative of the hybrid, and not the specific plant shipped.

Sarracenia x Green Monster

I received my shipment fairly quickly and very well packaged.
I have placed them in my greenhouse to begin acclimating to my region.
They and others are placed in a big like setting.
They are growing well and beginning to grow 10 inch long shoots and still growing longer.
I have been working with this nursery for sometime and I'm very satisfied with the quality and customer service.
Many resources and assistance is available for beginners.
I highly recommend this company..
Unfortunately I can't upload pictures as the site can't handle large images.

Little green eating machine

The plant arrived very quickly and in great shape. I potted it up today and placed it in the water tray with my other sarracenia’s. While moving things around I could see that it was catching bugs already. Very happy with this plant 👍👍

Great color, one large trumpet on plant received

A very colorful plant, one large pitcher and a nice root system. Hopefully it comes back strong in the Spring. I plan to winter it and the other pitcher plants in our garden shed for the winter and bring back in the house in the Spring. We have been very happy with the plants we received so far and if these do well are planning on ordering more in the Spring.

The slippery slope of carnivorous plants

I started by buying a plant in a local nursery in Seattle (the one in the foreground of the photo). My friend said that it is a way to control flies.

Then I bought seeds from CPN and realized that will be a long time until I get plants big enough. But after a month I have about 4 tiny Venus fly traps and nothing else sprouting. They are super cute.

Realizing this is way too long until they can help with the flies. I bought eight plants from CPN. The plants arrived in about 3 days in great shape and hopefully, they will love the new bog garden, I set up. That's a regular-size dinner plate for size comparison. I'm using my dehumidifier water to water them. It's Seattle so I used moss growing around the garden to cover the peat and vermiculite. *wish me luck*
