Sarracenia x Lime Ice is a charming hybrid, S.oreophila x alata, with cool green and white leaves, and amazing green flowers. Pitchers are tall, upright and medium green with red venation. The hoods are broad and ruffled. Large white areoles (windows) dominate the tubes, providing a dramatic look. They grow divisions regularly, and form large full colonies. It prefers open, sunny, boggy conditions, and holds its own into the frost. The remarkably green flowers fade to creamy yellow and are fragrant. They bloom early in the Spring before new traps are fully emerged. This is a remarkable accent plant for the bog garden or collection, and is very showy in large numbers. Its name describes its cool green color.

Plants are shipped bare-root, wrapped in damp sphagnum moss. In it's dormant season, it will be shipped as a dormant rhizome with trimmed off pitchers. Photographs are representative of the cultivar, and not the specific plant shipped.
