Nepenthes x Miranda, is a very large, robust growing carnivorous tropical pitcher plant. Its large, speckled pitchers can be over 18" with wide mouths the size of coffee cups when fully mature. The hood is narrow and the wings are wide and ruffled. It is heat tolerant and does well in a window. It is quite good at catching large insects, such as: stink bugs, wasps and yellow jackets.  It is a fast grower. Stems can be trimmed to keep the plant bushy, and to start cuttings. It is a great house plant, that can be grown outdoors in the warm weather. It is suitable for beginners.

This clone has been in the hobby for a long time.  It is male. Nepenthes x Miranda is a complex hybrid, most likely the cross N. (northiana x maxima) x maxima. It is a highland.

Unless size specifies "potted", plants are shipped bare-root, wrapped in damp sphagnum moss. Photographs are representative of species, and not the specific plant shipped.

N-Miranda Review

I received 2 nepenthese miranda from Carnivorous Plant Nursery 12 days ago. Both arrived in excellent condition and both already have 2 small pitchers developing. I have raised N- Miranda for many years now as I love their 10-12 inch pitchers. They're easy to grow and hearty.
