The Cyclosecta Butterwort, Pinguicula cyclosecta, is an easy to grow, indoor butterwort.  It has broadly flattened, pale purple green, leaves with slightly curled edges. Its large sticky leaves can form rosettes about 3+" across. It prefers damp, loose, slightly alkaline soils, and open shade, with wet Summers and dry Winters. In its native habitat it grows on north facing, limestone cliffs along shaded small streams. It forms larger, sticky carnivorous leaves in the Summer and smaller, drier, non-carnivorous, succulent leaves in the Winter. It blooms in Spring and Fall with multiple bright pink flowers. It responds well to warm, wet summers and drier, cooler winters. The Cyclosecta Butterwort is an excellent house plant, doing well on window sills, plant carts and greenhouses. They perform great in a terrarium. Our plants are artificially propagated from leaf pulls.
