Pinguicula x 'Weser' is a hybrid tropical butterwort, P. ehlersiae x moranensis. Like its parents, it is an easy to grow, indoor butterwort.  It has broadly flattened, pale green, leaves with slightly curled edges. Its large sticky leaves can form rosettes about 3+" across. It prefers damp, loose, peaty soils, and open shade, with wet Summers and dry Winters. It forms larger, sticky carnivorous leaves in the Summer and smaller, drier, non-carnivorous, succulent leaves in the Winter. It blooms in Spring and Fall with 1-7+ bright violet pink flowers. It responds well to warm, wet Summers and drier, cooler Winters. P. 'Weser' is an excellent house plant, doing well on window sills, plant carts and greenhouses. They perform great in a terrarium. Our 'Weser' Butterworts are artifically propagated from leaf pulls.  This cultivar is registered with ICPS.
