, is a medium size, robustly growing carnivorous tropical pitcher plant with large, 6+" red pitchers with dark red speckles. The stem and leaves are covered with black nectar glands (giving the plant its name) that produce a sweet scent. The whole plant is covered with fine bristly hairs. was discovered in 2002 in the Hose Mountains of Central Sarawak. It does well in a window. It is quite good at catching large insects, such as: stink bugs, wasps and yellow jackets. It can be grown outdoors in the warm weather with a minimal transition period. It is a great in a terrarium, and
as a houseplant or in the greenhouse.
Unless size specifies "potted", plants are shipped bare-root, wrapped in damp sphagnum moss. Photographs are representative of species, and not the specific plant shipped.
