Nepenthes rafflesiana, is a medium sized, carnivorous tropical pitcher plant with gorgeous, red speckled pitchers. The speckling is dense and a nice deep red. These are very pretty. Traps in this clone have a nice red tint, and wide, prominent wings. Basal traps are urn shaped and can get up to 4+" in length. It is heat tolerant and does well in a window. It is quite good at catching large insects, such as: stink bugs, wasps and yellow jackets.  N. rafflesiana grows naturally on the forest edge among ferns. In cultivation is does well in moderately bright indirect light. Reduce watering in winter. It is a great house plant, that can be grown outdoors in the warm weather. It is excellent in the terrarium, and shaded greenhouse. It can grow quite large.

Unless size specifies "potted", plants are shipped bare-root, wrapped in damp sphagnum moss. Photographs are representative of species, and not the specific plant shipped.
