Bigmouth fly trap

Received the Big mouth flytraps in good shape. I immediately transplanted into my (seepage) bog garden. Only one survived, but it seems hardy

Want one of the most popular carnivorous plants?

If grown/raised properly, a venus flytrap is entertaining and always draws attention. I like them because they are low growing in general and fit in well with the taller pitcher plants, more or less filling visual gaps from the slender stems. In this larger version, I hope to show the small rod-like excrescences from each side of the open traps. This should do it. I received this plant ready for dormancy and it was placed in the frig with my usual/other plants for a few months (here in Wisconsin where we currently have freezing temps.
