These are doing pretty very poorly after 4+ weeks in a bog garden.

I've ordered a LOT of different plants from CPN. All of the other ones established themselves well in my bog garden. I even ordered 2 small B-52 Venus Fly traps and I planted them right next to these Akai Ryu, so the care and conditions they both receive is exactly the same. I have about 8+ new traps come out of the B-52s since I've planted those, and they were planted at the same time as these Akai Ryu. They all have the same medium which is a mix of peat moss, perlite, sand and they're mulched over with Sphagnum moss. 12-14 hours of direct sunlight and the soil is constantly moist from harvested rain water. Right now it seems like these Akai Ryu are dying back, they have yet to put out a signal new leaf in the past 4 weeks since I've had them. Very disappointed with these plants.

Large bare roots plant took well

Ordered two, very healthy plants that took the transplant very well. Looking forward to them growing through the summer months in my bog garden

Dormant

I'm on the east coast, so plant is naturally dormant now. I have it in my fridge. Healthy looking, packaged great and shipped perfectly. I ordered a few sundews as well that are growing and looking awesome!

Gorgeous and resilient!

Even with a mistake on the mail carriers end, and a bit of delay in delivery; my gorgeous trap made it here! I potted them over my lunch break, and can’t be more obsessed! It arrived quickly, and very well packaged. Thank you for such a gorgeous, healthy, resilient venus fly trap! I can’t wait to see it grow!
