Nepenthes ampullaria All Green, is a small, low growing carnivorous tropical pitcher plant with lots of little pot shaped pitchers with narrow, backward turned lids. This variety is mostly green, with minimal pigmentation, but is not completely anthocyanin free. Traps are barrel shaped and can get up to 4" in length. It is heat tolerant and does well in a window. It is quite good at catching large insects, such as: stink bugs, wasps and yellow jackets.  N. ampullaria is a swamp dwelling species that grows alongside N. bicalcarata, and loves it hot and humid. It grows naturally in the shade of relatively dense, damp, woody vegetation. In cultivation it does well in moderately bright indirect light. It is a great house plant, that can be grown outdoors in the warm weather. It is excellent in the terrarium, and suitable for beginners.

Unless size specifies "potted", plants are shipped bare-root, wrapped in damp Sphagnum moss. Photographs are representative of species, and not the specific plant shipped.

Plant Type: Perennial, Tropical, Lowland to Intermediate

Beautiful plant!

The plant was so much bigger and developed that I expected! Lots of tiny pitchers! And the packaging was absolutely the best I have ever seen when ordering plants on line! Wonderful company!

Adorable!

Plant arrived healthy with one older pitcher and developing pitchers at leaf tips & basal rosette. Agree with Rob’s review that the leaves were covered in fuzz, but this had little impact as the plant is growing wonderfully.

Great little plant

All the leaves were covered in a fuzz upon arrival which was a little strange, but it has been growing well since! Very happy with the the price for the size of plant and love the little basal pitchers that are starting to grow
