A petite orange-red sundew hybrid, Drosera sp. Lantau Island x brevifolia forms rosettes of flat narrow club-shaped leaves with numerous red-orange tentacles. It is a vigorous grower and spreads readily, especially forming colonies from leaf buds. It prefers open, sunny, boggy conditions in peaty soils. The blossoms are sterile and light pink on multi-flowered scapes. Typically there are several scapes at a time, and they are long lasting.  It can flower at different times of the year, but more profusely in the summer months. Allow for a winter rest for best growth. This hybrid is an excellent little terrarium plant. It is easy to grow, and is a great beginner's plant. This selection comes from leaf cuttings, and are genetically identical to the parent.

Lost in the shuffle

Ordered multiple items which mostly were intact at receipt. Two small drosera fell out of the top of their rolled damp towels. I think I found them, but some material may have been lost or damaged by shipping.
